Tasting notes
With its color of clear, straw yellow with gold highlights, the nose immediately recalls the grapes from which it is produced with notes of ripe white peach, honey and wild flowers. The flavor is dense and full, perfectly balanced by the acidity typical of this wine. It recalls the hints of ripe grapes and ends with a good persistence.
Description
The sweet wine par excellence, with a slight degree of alcohol is perfect to accompany the end of meals. Aromas of fruit and flowers envelop the nose and the palate.
Estate
The Agricola Brandini estate, located in the village of Borgata Brandini in the commune of La Morra and sits at the top of a hill from which it enjoys the most amazing view of the surrounding landscape. They only grow indigenous grape varieties and everything is cultivated organically with a focus on the environment and nature. They produce outstanding wines from Dolcetto D’Alba, Barbera D’Alba, Langhe Rosso, Langhe Nebbiolo and Barolo. The Brandini estate, which includes about 14 hectares of Barolo-classified vineyards, is run by Piero Bagnasco and his daughters, Giovanna and Serena.
Vinification
The grapes are subjected to a very delicate pressing which allows only the best must from the grapes to be extracted, which is left to cool. Then the fermentation starts and stops when the required alcohol level is reached. Finally, it is aged in steel for a couple of months at a temperature of 0 ° C.
