Background
Erikson & Caradin has one mission, to be a desirable force

Valley Cabernet and Chardonnay grown in their individual
places and with Hazel & Axe, we scour California for the
best sites to create accessible wines that our Grandma
Hazel would be proud to offer her friends and family.
Hazel represents the rock in all our families. The glue that held everything together. She had a saying, "wield the axe," which, to her, meant to use your inner power to always be moving forward in life. The foundation Hazel instilled in her entire world lives on today. You'll find it in every bottle of our wine.
Tasting notes
Inspired by the outstanding Cabernets of Napa Valley, our
Hazel & Axe Cabernet Sauvignon is a stunner. It
showcases bold, dark fruit flavors of blackberry and
cassis, harmoniously balanced with subtle oak nuances. A
well-structured body, with velvet-like tannins and a
lingering finish, make it a timeless representation of the
classic California Cabernet.
Winemaker
Kevin Morrisey, while attending graduate school at the
University of California, Davis, he secured a harvest
internship at Chateau Petrus in Bordeaux in 1997. He
later worked under famed Napa Valley winemaker Tony
Soter, founder of Etude Winery, who helped him refine
his approach.
