Background
Vinedos El Pacto is a journey back to the roots of the most authentic Rioja—a commitment to reviving village wines and
traditional viticulture. is Vintae project was born in Alto Najerilla and Sonsierra, two historic regions where old
vines have thrived for generations, cultivated with deep respect for nature's rhythms. Here, the vineyard comes
first, with every plot preserving biodiversity and safeguarding a unique genetic heritage passed down through time,
capturing the purest expression of its origin.
Riojanda is a hidden gem in the sea of vineyards of the Sonsierra — two tiny plots, planted in 1920, totalling just over a third of a hectare. Despite its small size, it is a viticultural Noah's Ark, home to a multitude of varieties and clones. Th e organic and biodynamic viticulture practiced here results in a very low yield, with less than one kilo per vine.
Tasting notes
Broad and voluminous, with a smooth, inviting entry. The wine offers an enveloping mouthfeel throughout,
supported by a solid structure typical of Tempranillo, yet with the velvety texture so characteristic of
the Sonsierra. It delivers elegant, tactile sensations and a perfect balance between so ness and depth,
leaving a lasting impression of harmony and fullness.
Vinification
Destemmed without crushing. Spontaneous fermentation
in wooden vats. Malolactic fermentation in new 500-liter
French oak barrels.
