Aging
12 months with used barrels (no new oak) – Blending in stainless tanks for 2 months before bottling.
Harvest
Manual with sorting on a table before slow pressing on pneumatic press. Work in the field : traditional cultivation with ploughing and no chemical weedkiller.
Treatment of the vines is conventional.
Tasting notes
Salty character - buttery note on the palate. Long powerful and persistent finish – fine hawthorn flavor.
Terroir
Soil is mainly limestone with some marn and clay. The location of the plot is north of Puligny in the place called Corvee des vignes – a plot next to Meursault 1er cru Charmes.
