Tasting notes
An appealing nose, aromatic with hints of pepper and black berry fruit. Good body and really well-judged balance. It is complete and long in the mouth with the oak well integrated on the finish.
Description
Château Yon is situated near Saint Christophe des Bardes at the bottom of the slopes and the 6 hectares of estate vineyards benefit from good exposure to the south. This is big hitting Saint Emilion which really lives up to its Grand Cru billing.
Vinification
Harvested by plots and grape varieties selections. Gravity flow winemaking with temperature control. Pre-fermenting maceration of 25 to 30 days. Aged in French oak barrels (20 to 40% new oak barrels) from 12 to 14 months
