Tasting notes
The aged rum from Dillon comes from the best sugar cane juice of Martinique and is aged in oak barrels following the traditional techniques. It develops a complex aromatic wealth with hints of chocolate, roasted dried fruits, cinnamon, licorice and delicate vanilla flavors.
Estate
Dillon is a producer of Rhum Agricole from the island of Martinique and can trace its history all the way back to 1690 to the original site of the distillery in Fort de France. It was set up by Arthur Dillon, a US soldier. Originally it produced sugar but in the 19th, century began producing rum. In 1928 a new distillery became operational. In 1967 Bordeaux Bardinet took over the production. Dillon Rhum’s are now distilled on Martinique and then shipped to France where they are aged and bottled.
