Estate
Chateau Les Agates is part of Vignobles Mercier, a
family-owned estate run by the Mercier family for five
generations, located in Camiran. Today, the estate is
managed by Bastien Mercier, who is also the Mayor of the
village of Camiran, a small community of approximately 420
inhabitants. Deeply committed to his land and his profession,
he works actively to promote his territory and the sustainability
of local winegrowing.
Tasting notes
The nose is refined and expressive, revealing delicate fruity
aromas with muscat-like nuances and fresh citrus, complemented
by subtle floral notes of white flowers. On the palate, the wine
opens with a round, generous attack, leading to a
well-balanced structure. The finish is fresh and vibrant, with good
length and a lingering aromatic expression.
Vineyard
Covering 3.40 hectares, the vineyard is planted exclusively
with 100% Sauvignon Blanc on well-exposed clay-limestone
slopes. This optimal hillside exposure ensures excellent
sunlight, allowing the grapes to reach ideal ripeness and fully
express the varietal's aromatic profile.
