Tasting notes
Bright nose of cherry and plum lead the way to hints of cocoa layered with spice aromas. The bouquet is rounded out with toasty vanilla oak and the
berry flavors offer a balanced and elegant fi nish. This very approachable wine offers soft tannins, luscious fruit with a gentle oak mid-palate and earthy lingering finish. This mellow Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with fig and goat cheese crostinis, roasted duck and rotisserie chicken.

Terroir
The Rubin Family of Wines explores the range of Goldridge soil and terroir in Green Valley of Russian River Valley. We are dedicated to crafting wines that beautifully express the personality of our Pinot Noir. Balance and respect for the natural character of each vineyard are key principles of our grape growing and winemaking philosophy. Our Estate is a 10-acre vineyard, located in Green Valley of Russian River Valley.
Vintage
The 2013 vintage is full of deep and rich character. Although yields were lower than the generous 2012 crop, the harvest shares the same balanced
fl avor notes. The Russian River Valley had a long ripening season, which helped develop complex flavors within the fruit. Just a few days saw extremely hot temperatures and the season was marked by less rain than usual, allowing our winemaking team to select maturely fl avored grapes for the 2013 vintage.
Winemaking
Our 2013 Pinot Noir was hand-picked, sorted, and destemmed to open top fermenters and cold soaked for 5 days. It was then fermented and pressed and
barrelled down to French oak barrels. In addition to growing these grapes on our Estate, we acquired fruit from Nakai, Boschetti, Almamia, Poppy Hill,
and Hopkins Vineyards. Clones: 115, 667, 777, 887, 113, and Pommard.
