Quinta do Noval - Maria Mansa 2016
Tasting notes
Elegant, fresh and well-balanced, with soft approachable tannins, our Maria Mansa red wine offers delicious notes of red fruits on the palate, typical of the wines from this region, in good harmony with the notes of wood. This balance gives us a high quality wine from the Douro which is softer and more immediately accessible than the rest of the Noval range, ready for immediate consumption.
Vinification
Grape Varieties: Blend of the noblest of the classic Douro varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinto Cao.
Where the grapes come from: Carefully selected grapes of top quality grown on the steeply terraced vineyards in the heart of the Douro Valley in Northern Portugal.
Vinification: The wine is vinified in our specially designed conical stainless steel temperature controlled vats, within a temperature range of 25/28 Celsius.
Maturing: Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels of different ages.
