Nature's Revenge
Pierre Caizergues and Antonin Bonnet first crossed paths in New York on July 4th, 2010, bonding over their shared roots in the South of France, Pierre from AOP Malepère and Antonin from AOP Terrasses du Larzac, both with deep family ties to local viticulture. A decade later, they turned that connection into Pierre & Antonin, a wine house built around a bold, creative vision: producing natural, accessible "vins d'auteur" with no chemicals, no added sulfites, and no compromises.
Their wines are made exclusively from resistant grape varieties, natural crosses between European and American vines that thrive with minimal intervention, and vinified using only indigenous yeasts.
Their commitment to sustainability runs through every detail of the operation. Bottles are among the lightest available and sourced within 80 km of the vineyard, corks come from Roussillon forests, natural wax replaces aluminum capsules, and labels are made from recycled fibers like sugarcane, hemp, and flax. From vine to packaging, Pierre & Antonin reflects a philosophy that is as eco-conscious as it is uncompromising in craft.
Their standalone Nature's Revenge range is crafted using the historic méthode ancestrale. Free from artificial secondary fermentations or injected gas, the process relies on a single, continuous fermentation. It begins in the vat with native yeasts, and once well underway, the temperature is dropped to pause the process. The wine is then bottled while it still contains its natural residual sugars. As the bottle warms back up, the yeasts awaken to consume the remaining sugar, trapping the resulting carbon dioxide to form a delicate sparkle. This collection features Pét-Nat Vivant, a crisp white with a creamy foam reminiscent of artisanal craft beer, and Pét-Nat Vigne Sauvage, a vibrant, energetic rosé bursting with notes of fresh red fruits.
