Tasting notes
The 2012 vintage is tasted very well already, opening it develops a nice power with a fresh and elegant nose. Then in the mouth tonic attacks followed by a spicy mid-palate and a warm finish. This is a very harmonious and powerful wine with good aging potential.
Estate
The large field of wine is made from older vines.
The grapes follow the pattern of the old apple tree a grandmother in the garden, the apples have more taste, genuine flavor and a very particular length that is not only due to the variety but at the age This apple tree. Coming from the oldest vines of the vineyard, they give less fruit, but offer greater complexity. The Lafon Rochet is a wine that is both simple and complex, it expresses aromas of black fruit in most vintages. There is truly a fade and a proper expression in Saint-Estèphe, a certain warmth and roundness finesse born of Merlot.
