The color is deep red with violet tones. The nose is juicy and attractive with spicy notes given by the herbs that grow in the region. The mouth is bright and lively with the right balance between the round tannins and acidity. Young, fresh & fruity.
Description
The passion for wine that runs in the French branch of the Rothschild family was born in 1868 when James de Rothschild purchased Château Lafite. After more than a century of family history tied to the world of wine, Baron Edmond de Rothschild (great-grandson of James) took the adventure further in 1973 by acquiring famous properties in Bordeaux. He then founded the Compagnie Vinicole Baron Edmond de Rothschild, and has taken the business worldwide producing top quality wines around the globe.
Food Pairing
Ideal with red meats, hard cheeses, grilled or BBQ pork and hearty dishes. Also perfect as an aperitif.
