Age of vines

20- to 40-year-old vines are used to produce this Crozes-Hermitage "Les Meysonniers" white wine.

Ageing

Ageing lasts for 7 to 8 months in tank. 100% of which takes place in stainless steel in order to preserve the aromatic quality, derived from the Crozes-Hermitage sedimentary soils, within the aromatic expression of Marsanne.

Tasting notes

"Les Meysonniers" white wine epitomizes the authentic character of Marsanne in Crozes-Hermitage. Colour: pale yellow with green lights, limpid, brilliant. Nose: the first nose is on quince, peony and then roasted almond. Palate: the attack is supple and fresh.

Terroir

Gently sloping south facing hillsides. The soil is composed of Isère river sedimentary soils and large, round pebbles.

Vinification

The entire harvest is pressed directly, followed by cold settling for 48 hours. Fermentation takes place in 600 litre casks with natural yeasts.
