From a single block of a vineyard on Mount Veeder, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Orleans Block seems to bolster the idea that southern portions of the Napa Valley fared better than others in this challenging vintage. Scents of crushed stone, sage, bay leaf, black cherries and cassis show zero suggestion of over-ripeness or raisining, while the medium to full-bodied palate is fruit forward and juicy, with fine-grained, silky tannins emerging on the finish.
