Tasting notes
This wine opens with a captivating perfume of honey suckle and white apple blossoms, inviting you into its vibrant and expressive character. On the palate, delicious ripe apple and pear flavors are beautifully complemented by subtle notes of toasty marshmallow and graham cracker from the oak aging. The finish is long and elegant, showcasing the hallmark ripe orchard fruit that defines its Sonoma Coast origins.
Vineyard
With nearly forty years of experience in Sonoma County, the winemaking team sources grapes from top growers, including the Greene, Young, and Ledbetter families, who they have been partners for more than three decades. Many vineyards are situated on the Sonoma Coast, with western-facing slopes and east/west rows optimized for cooling afternoon breezes and warm evening sunlight, ensuring ideal ripening conditions. Growers practice sustainable agriculture, using no-till methods, organic fertilizers, and composted grape material to enhance water efficiency and soil health.
Vinification
All the Chardonnay fruit is hand-picked and brought directly to the winery. Each parcel is whole-cluster pressed and fermented separately, with Chardonnay undergoing 100% barrel fermentation, 100% simultaneous alcoholic/malolactic fermentation, and aging in 1/3 new French oak.
