Description

The Stone Crib single vineyard is nestled within the historic Rancho Caymus, an 11,887-acre Mexican land grant awarded to pioneer George C. Yount in 1836. Yount, the first permanent Euro-American settler in Napa Valley, established the region's early viticultural legacy. The vineyard's name, Stone Crib, is inspired by the iconic triangular stone building prominently visible from Highway 29. This historic structure stands as a testament to the property's rich past, symbolizing the enduring spirit of Napa Valley's pioneering days.? Today, the Stone Crib vineyard continues this legacy, producing Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc that reflect both the unique terroir of Rutherford and the deep-rooted history of the estate.

Estate

Grand Napa Vineyards are family-owned and sustainably farmed vineyards are dedicated to the mission of bringing the true essence and character of Napa Valley's wines to the world. They produce approachable, full-bodied, well-balanced wines, whether you're interested in a wine for everyday drinking or a special gift. From Grand Napa's home in Rutherford, winemaker Dwight Bonewell, sources the fruit from the best vineyards in Napa Valley, including some of its other most prestigious sub-appellations: Diamond Mountain, Mt. Veeder, Spring Mountain, Oakville, Atlas Peak and Carneros. Their winemaker is involved in every step of the winemaking process at Grand Napa, because ultimately, it's the commitment of the winemaker that separates the mediocre wines from the memorable. Proud to call Rutherford home!

Tasting notes

This limited-release Cabernet Sauvignon hails exclusively from our Stone Crib Single Vineyard in the heart of Rutherford, one of Napa Valley’s most iconic growing regions. It opens with a dense, seductive nose of black cassis, black cherry, and a whisper of cocoa. Plush tannins glide across the palate, evolving into a supple, structured finish that lingers long after your last sip.
