Estate
Ceretto is a family estate based in Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, founded in the 1930s by Riccardo Ceretto. In the 1960s and 1970s his sons Bruno and Marcello acquired some of the finest crus of the area, including Bricco Rocche, Brunate and Prapo in Barolo and Asili and Bernadot in Barbaresco. Now led by the third generation of the family, Ceretto farms its vineyards organically and crafts wines that express the character of each site.
Description
Ceretto has made wine from Brunate in La Morra for forty years, from two large plots totaling 5.30 hectares, mostly right next to the colorful chapel painted by Sol LeWitt and David Tremlett. Brunate is a hill shared with many producers, and Ceretto's goal has always been to craft an original Barolo that stays true to its terroir, conveying as directly as possible the gifts of a vineyard known for naturally seductive wines. Brunate Barolos are aromatically bold and supple from the start.

Tasting Notes
A carousel of flowers on the nose, with ethereal notes in generous vintages and citrus in cooler years. In its youth the fruit seems sweet and whole, and the tannins add energy and tension without taking away the wine's smoothness. With age it takes on autumnal tones and hints of smoke.
