Tasting notes
This Rosé is elegant, bright and subtle with a very pale rose petal hue. The nose shows a fresh and fruity aromatic character with aromas of strawberry, grapefruit, citrus and peach. The palate is bright, well-balanced and smooth with a delicately fine finish.
Vineyard
Limestone soil made up of red clay. Parcels located in the villages of Pourcieux and Pourrières at the foot of Mount Aurélien and Mount Sainte-Victoire. This ideal Mediterranean climate is perfect for the quality production of great Rosé wine.
Vinification
Harvest is carried out by machine at night to preserve freshness and aromas. Produced from the result of direct pressing and rested on the fine lees. Fermentation is temperature controlled and alcoholic fermentation takes place at a low temperature in stainless steel tanks.
Estate
Specially choosen by Mathilde Chapoutier, the Château des Ferrages is located in prime plots of the Sainte-Victoire appellation in Provence. The coolness of the weather is one of its blessings. Rosé wine has a long production history with this estate which has completely switched over to biodynamic farming principles.
