Tasting notes
Luc Tallaron the wine master has taken great care to mature this Pinot noir, the result is a slightly oaky
shiny Pinot noir with red berries with vanilla flavor.
Food pairing
This Pinot Noir goes well with cold cuts, poultry and white meat
dishes such as orange duck or turkey.
Vineyard
In the "Alba la Romaine" area, the collective of families of Ardeche grows 70ha of Pinot Noir. Most of the vineyard
is located in the village of "Alba la Romaine", where the terroir personality reflects in its clay-limestone soil.
However, only a selective portion our Pinot Noir vineyard is grown in higher elevation sections of the surrounding hills.
The very same that sustained a pre-historic lava flow. The terroir there is 100% volcanic (basalt). For Bourg Lachamps Pinot Noir, we blend approximately 50/50 of these two terroirs.

Vinification
The harvest grapes stay 5-6 days in maceration period. 50% goes in second- and third-year barrels for 9 months to add complexity and substance.
