Product Ratings
James Suckling 98pt

Intense aromas of wet earth, leaves, sweet berries and cinnamon follow through to a full body, velvety and dense tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Opulent style. Just opening now, but this shows lots of stuffing, even if it does tighten down on the palate. Integrated and fine.

by James Suckling, 2018

Estate

Chateau FIGEAC is a family-owned estate covering 54 hectares (133 acres), of which 40 (99 acres) are dedicated to vine-growing. Located to the west of Saint-Emilion, close to the boundaries of Pomerol, its 3 mounds of Güntzian gravel give the vineyard its identity and its grape variety composition.

Vinification

The making of this great wine begins with painstaking work in the vines which adheres to the principles of environmentally-friendly integrated crop management to produce grapes of great complexity that mirror the amazing terroir of FIGEAC.
The wine-making methods allow the grapes to express elegance in the wine.

Tasting Notes

Harmonious and elegant, FIGEAC reveals lovely balance even in its youth. Its long ageing potential is one of the greatest of all the top Bordeaux growths.
