Attractive aromas of ripe berries with crushed walnuts, toasted spices and dried orange peel. Some wet stones, too. Medium-bodied, round-textured and polished with chalky tannins and a vivid, dark fruit character. Drink or hold.

The 2020 L'Abeille de Fieuzal is a terrific bottle in the making. Wafting from the glass with aromas of blackcurrants, wild berries, charcoal and subtle spices, it's medium-bodied, layered and impressively concentrated, with a vibrant core of fruit, polished tannins and a long, penetrating finish.

Beginning to show some attractive maturity, this second wine of Fieuzal is ripe, full of black fruits and a dense texture. The pepper and spice aroma is matched by the core of tannins that will shortly soften.
