Decanter 93pt

Fresh and cool notes on the nose- blueberries, cola and violets. Sappy and energetic, this has beautiful precision and finesse. Juicy but also textured like crushed velvet. A touch chewy and plush but remaining cool and lifted. A great mouthfeel and a joy to drink, with great balance between power and vibrancy, and the sweet red berry fruits. A top buy.

Jeb Dunnuck 94pt

The 2022 Chateau La Chenade checks in as 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc that comes from nine hectares of vines and was brought up in 30% new French oak. Bight black cherries, a hint of cassis, graphite, and flowers all emerge from the glass, and it's beautifully textured, medium to full-bodied, and has a silky, graceful, yet still classic 2022 style.

James Suckling 94pt

This is a really beautiful Lalande-de-Pomerol, with very attractive, fine tannins that are polished and refined. It caresses your palate. Medium-bodied with black-olive, dark-berry and light chocolate character. It's very persistent and beautiful. One of the best wines from this appellation in a long, long time. 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc.

Vinous Media 92pt

The 2022 La Chenade has a very well-defined bouquet with pure black cherry and raspberry fruit, well integrated oak and a sense of terroir. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-boned tannins, quite sophisticated with a classy, harmonious finish. Good winemaking here.

Wine Spectator 92pt

This offers fleshy, smoldering plum and blackberry compote notes mixed with a savory flash that lends good energy. Singed cedar and licorice root add cut on the finish. Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
