Thomas Goss
Thomas Goss Winery is a tribute to one of the original pioneers of McLaren Vale, Thomas Goss (1810-1890), and his family. Thomas, along with his wife Mary Ann and their eight children, migrated to South Australia from Devonshire, England, after finding success in the Victorian goldfields.
Using this prosperity, he established an iconic farming property in the heart of McLaren Vale called “Gedney,” where he built a two-storey homestead he lovingly named “Ingleburne.” Today, Ingleburne stands as a historical landmark and a testament to his pioneering spirit.
The story of Thomas Goss is told through the wines of the property. The winemaking team has been crafting these wines in a range of classic McLaren Vale styles since 2013. The region is renowned globally for its consistent production of top-quality wines, aided by a Mediterranean-style climate perfectly suited for premium grapes, most notably Shiraz, Cabernet, and Grenache.
These wines are carefully crafted to meet the dietary needs of vegans, and every bottle is produced in lightweight glass to reduce the vineyard's environmental footprint.
