Salton’s Brazilian Identity for the World

Brazil’s oldest winery still in operation and the national leader in the sparkling wine segment, Salton combines tradition with innovation.

Over more than a century, Salton has built a journey that has extended far beyond Brazil’s borders. What began in 1910 with a family of Italian immigrants in the Serra Gaúcha region has evolved into a brand that today brings the identity and quality of Brazilian winemaking to markets around the world.

Today, Salton is the oldest winery still in operation in Brazil and has been the national leader in the sparkling wine segment since 2005. With a presence in more than 30 international markets, the company has established itself as Brazil’s largest exporter in the category, bringing products to the world that embody the quality and identity of Brazilian winemaking.

The strength of the brand is also reflected in the hundreds of awards it has received at national and international competitions, including some of the industry’s most prestigious contests. These recognitions further reinforce Salton’s leading role in promoting Brazilian wines and sparkling wines abroad.

The Pillars of a Brand in Constant Evolution

Behind this journey lies a strategy that combines tradition and innovation. In the Campanha Gaúcha region, Azienda Domenico encompasses 120 hectares of vineyards managed according to the principles of precision viticulture, with sustainable practices and no use of herbicides. The company also provides technical support to dozens of partner growers through the Terroir Salton program, strengthening the quality and traceability of its production.

Sustainability is an integral part of the company’s decision-making. All of its production facilities operate on energy from renewable sources, and Salton pioneered the development of the first Greenhouse Gas Inventory for Brazil’s wine industry. These initiatives, brought together under the Salton Conscious Journey, reinforce the company’s commitment to sustainable production, prosperous relationships, and sound governance.

With a portfolio encompassing sparkling wines, still wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic grape-based products, Salton continues to expand its presence across different markets and consumption occasions. More than simply producing beverages, the company has built a legacy based on quality, innovation, and respect for its origins — values that now carry the brand into the future and strengthen its presence around the world.
