Vintage
2012 was an absolutely perfect growing season across the board. Consistently warm temperatures produced high quality and quantity of the grapes. We hand harvested the grapes between September 5th and October 24th, 2012.
Tasting notes
Our 2012 Two Sisters Pinot Noir is a stunning example of Sta. Rita Hills Pinot. is is a dark and concentrated wine with lovely acid balance. It
invites you in with elegant notes of dark berries and juicy, ripe uit on the nose. On the palate, this 2012 delivers mouth-coating uit and avors of blackberry jam, plum and a hint of coe bean. Remarkable in its youth, this wine will age nicely over the next 3-5 years due to its balanced acidity.
Winemaking
is Pinot Noir was hand-harvested om Lindsay's Vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills. e clusters were then de-stemmed with no crushing and the must was cold-soaked in open-top fermentors for four days prior to inoculation. Each tank was manually punched down daily for more extraction. The wine was then transferred to tank for settling a er primary fermentation and maceration. Finally, individual lots were racked into 100% new French oak barrels and aged for 17 months.
