The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Blue Dog pours an inky purple/red color and takes on blue fruit on the nose, with notes of plum, blueberry, menthol, sweet oak spices, and sappy earth. Coming from Rutherford in Napa and Dry Creek Sonoma, it’s fleshy and ripe all the way through, with more persistence in length, and has a long finish. It is a more successful ripe wine that should hold on well over the next 7-8 years.

James Suckling 92

Spiced, dark-fruited character with notes of plum skin, violets and hints of cedar and wet stones. Full-bodied, structured and long, with fine, nicely crafted tannins that form the backbone of the wine. It's rich and intense yet focused and poised.
