Fermented in 100% stainless steel, our Sonoma County Un-Oaked Chardonnay is the classic everyday Chardonnay. This well-balanced wine offers bold notes of lemon curd and ripe apple with a lingering hint of honeydew melon. Terroir
Our Pamela’s Un-Oaked Chardonnay explores the diversity of the Sonoma County winegrowing region. We source grapes from vineyards in the regions of
Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma Carneros, and the Russian River Valley, which encompass an array of microclimates, soil types, elevations, and terroirs. This allows our winemaking team the freedom to blend a unique and engaging Chardonnay that expresses the flavor profile that Pamela herself not only approves of - but LOVES.
Vintage
It was a remarkable vintage for Chardonnay. The rains in 2014 came in February, altering the driest season ever to just below normal. A mild spring caused flowering in early May, setting the growing season up to be an early one. Continued moderate weather with no heat spikes—led to intense fruit fl avors, allowing us to focus on the lively acidity giving us a bounty of citrus and apple flavors. Only using stainless-steel aging, we crafted a crisp, delicious wine that is very approachable and food friendly
Winemaking
These Chardonnay grapes were pressed into stainless steel fermentation tanks and fermented cold, (58-60 degrees) to retain freshness. We source our grapes from Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma Carneros, and the Russian River Valley. Clones: Primarily 04 and 14.
