Vintage
The majority of fruit for our 2017 Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from vineyards in the cooler Carneros and Sonoma Valley. Ample winter rainfall provided much needed relief in the region. Consistently sunny days throughout the spring and summer with heat spikes in September resulted in an early harvest. With harvest finishing in early fall, we were unaected by the October wildfires and the fruit came in with exceptional quality. These Sauvignon Blanc grapes were harvested August 31 - September 3, 2017 and then fermented in 100% stainless steel tanks to retain aromatics.
Estate
Roth Estate is committed to making wines with the truest and best expression of the diverse and idyllic growing conditions in Sonoma County. Our 2017 Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and refreshing delivering on bright acidity. Compelling aromas of tropical fruits and citrus blossom lead on the
nose. Smooth and succulent on the palate, the wine boasts vibrant flavors of honeysuckle, mango, and lime zest making it a wonderful pairing for goat cheese, grilled artichoke, seafood, or pesto pastas.
History
Roth Estate is a family-owned winery dedicated to crafting full-flavored wines grown in exemplary Sonoma County vineyards. Beginning in 2001, Roth committed to producing classic Bordeaux varietals in Alexander Valley.
