Backstage Reserve
Our first vintage of Backstage Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from or Green
Room Vineyard (Napa)– located on Howell Mountain, one of the world's
finest growing areas for Cabernet Sauvignon Grapes. The 2013 growing
season in Napa Valley was ideal. The grapes for our Backstage Reserve
Cabernet Sauvignon were hand picked at just 1.0 tons per acre at optimal
ripeness. Picking was done on October 18th, and brought in to the winery
in the late morning. The grape bunches were then hand-sorted before being
run through our crusher/destemmer. After a 16 day maceration period, the
wine was aged for 34 months in French oak barrels (Quercus Petraea), to
make the wine fully balanced and full of flavors.

Tasting notes
The result is deep, rich, intense flavors and moderate tannins make this
wine very complex. Aromas of ripe blackberries, and Cocoa. Wonderfully
balanced and structured to improve over the next 10 years. There are also
interesting flavors of dark fruit and coffee bean, exciting the palate. The
finish is rich and lasting.
