Winemaker notes
We selected grapes from two neighboring vineyards: Charter Oak Vineyards on the east bank of the Russian River and Paradise Ridge Vineyards directly to the west of the river on the opposite river bank. In Mendocino County, 2014 was a long growing season. This climate allowed the fruit to ripen slowly and hang on the vine for as long as possible. The end result was fruit with intense flavors and a harvest that could be described as optimal.
The resulting wine has a beautiful berry character. Distinct Cabernet aroma of black cherries with a subtle note of vanilla in the background. On the palate it’s juicy and ripe.
