Winemaker notes
The Berry Family's Cononiah Vineyard is located on the Talmage Bench on the east side of the Ukiah Valley. These grapes were selected from their Cherry
block, which was planted in the early 1980's. Head-pruned and meticulously cared for, these vines produce a wine ripe with flavors of raspberry and cherries. 2013 was an extremely good year for Zinfandel as the vines had a long, slow ripening window with no severe weather challenges. At summer's end a warm finish helped develop great color intensity and flavor. With luscious fruit and white pepper-spice finish, this Zinfandel is classic Mendocino style. The 2013 is dense and seductive with bright fruit and hints of mocha and toffee oak.
