Oakwood - Chardonnay 2015
Tasting notes
Deep straw color with classis ripe Chardonnay aromas of pineapple, and citrus notes accenting grapefruit, lemon and tangerine. Vanilla and spice notes from the oak regimen combine memorable finish.
California Chardonnay
Oakwood Chardonnay was barrel fermented in new Missouri oak and was on the lees for six months. The wine underwent 100% malolactic fermentation in the barrel to add suppleness and complexity. It was then transferred to older French oak barrels for final maturing.
Food pairing
Delightful as an aperitif; also a great accompaniment to light dishes including pasta, chicken, mild cheeses and seafood.
