Guenoc Valley lies sixty miles north of San Francisco — a breathtaking panorama of oak-strewn grasslands, rolling green hills, craggy outcroppings and perfect volcanic cinder cones, painted with the shimmer of a dozen azure lakes. The 21,349-acre Langtry Estate is one of the largest contiguous private land holdings in California, and among the most beautiful.
The 2015 growing season was early, light and of exceptional quality. The season started with a mild fall that gave way to warm summer days, leading to long hang times while avoiding disease and pest pressure. Our 2015 Pinot Noir has aromatic notes of rose petals, geraniums and red cherries. Flavors of ripe cherries, smoked meats, licorice and undertones of vanilla lead into a long velvety finish. Pair this wine with BBQ ribs, or salad with fresh strawberries.
