The talented Raul Acha uses grapes from old-vine parcels in Cardenas and Najera to produce this assemblage of Viura and smaller amounts of Garnacha Blanca, Jaina and Malvasia. Lightly wooded in barrels and foudres, it partners aromas of honeysuckle and fennel with a stony palate of lemon zest, lime and mountain herbs.

The 2022 El Pacto del Alto Najerilla is a blend of 90% Viura, 5% Malvasaa, 3% Garnacha Blanca and 3% Jaina sourced from the Alto Najerilla area in Rioja. Aged for eight months in 500-liter and 5000-liter oak vats, this yellowish wine unfolds intense aromas of peach, pineapple and herbs, accompanied by layers of vanilla, caramel, hazelnut and honey. Dry and fairly velvety, the oily, delicate mouthfeel envelops a core of heightened acidity. This is a saline, lasting white with a nervously taut build.
