Textbook Brunello with cherry and orange-peel aromas and flavors, as well as dried flowers. It's medium-bodied with an integrated and very fine texture at the end. Energetic and focused. Drinkable now, but better in three or four years.

The 2020 Brunello di Montalcino lifts from the glass with mentholated herbs, giving way to plum sauce, grilled sage, flowery underbrush and wet stones. This displays notable weight and richness, smoothing over the palate with ripe red and black fruits complemented by hints of molten chocolate. The 2020 tapers off with tension as a sour citrus tinge mingles with fine tannins. A bump of residual acidity keeps the mouth watering.

On the nose, tart blackberries and black plums pop above foundational aromas of damp earth, underbrush, leather, pencil shavings, and graphite. Sweet, ripe blackberries and tart, bitter citrus lead the way on the palate, while more pepper and earthy, metallic, tangy notes perch atop solid tannins.
