Reviews

James Suckling 90

A bright and fruity sweet wine, lightly fizzy, exhibiting pretty notes of melons, peaches and honeysuckle. Good freshness to balance. From organically grown grapes. Drink and enjoy.

Technical Details

Description

White and sweet, it is the dessert wine par excellence. It has a more or less intense straw yellow color depending on the vintage, an intense, aromatic, very persistent fruity aroma. The sweet taste is in balance with the low alcohol content (5% degrees) and with the acidity, never too high, but which gives the product a pleasant freshness. It is vinified exclusively in steel tanks.

Estate

Among the infinite rows of vines that run across the undulating hills of Piedmont are the four wineries of Ceretto, a wine and spirits company in its third generation. Founded by Riccardo Ceretto in 1937, the highly respected firm is now run by his sons, Bruno and Marcello (dubbed the “Barolo Brothers”) who in the 1960s began raising Ceretto’s profile and expanding its holdings. Now their sons and daughters are at the helm of the Langhe DOC company, which holds a total of 120 hectares of land that are the birthplace of an array of elegant still wines, sparkling wines, dessert wines, and spirits.

Tasting notes

This delicous Moscato displays an intense fruity and aromatic nose. Sweetness and acidity perfectly balanced, with a nicely fresh finishing. It is an ideal aperitif and an after-dinner wine par excellence, ideal to accompany desserts.
