A shade deeper in profile without added weight, the 2022 Barbaresco Rabaja pours a jeweled ruby color. The nose reveals ripe red fruit, spice, and a more savory, open-knit character. Medium-bodied, it has velvety tannins, refreshing acidity, and a saline edge that carries through a long finish with ripe apricot notes. It leans more generous and expressive in style within the range.

A lovely depth of fruit and intensity, with dried-strawberry, dark-chocolate and walnut character with some terra cotta. Medium-bodied with a long, flavorful finish. Juicy at the end. Drinkable now, but better in three or four years.
