A floral nose with dried leaves and earth, as well as sweet wild strawberries. Full-bodied with persistent fruit and a nicely formed tannin structure. Quite firm for now, but this should mellow out in a year or two and gain added complexity.

Tasting notes

Aromas of juniper, violet, lavender, kirsch and iron mark this solid, densely built red. Shows a core of sweet, ripe fruit, but the structure is showing today as this winds down on the long, licorice, tar and underbrush finish. Aged 38 months, including at least 18 in wood.
