The Monacesca estate is located in the municipality of Matelica, in Contrada Monacesca. The area owes its name to a small group of Benedictine monks, this beautiful land was known as "Monacesca". The current property was stared with the first winery and plantings in 1966.Today the production is around 160,000 bottles per year, destined exclusively to restaurants and specialty shops in Italy and abroad, always produced with the same painstaking care and attention that our loyal customers kindly recognized by more than thirty years. Two generations have always tried to tell through their wines, the magic and uniqueness of this special valley, full of history, flavors and scents.

Tasting notes

This is the estates most distinctive version of Verdicchio. A wine of exuberant aromatic richness, yielding notes of anise, citron, and dried fruit. Powerful and full-bodied on the palate, it maintains its remarkable concentration on through a very lengthy finish. With a bright but balanced acidity it reflects its terroir and makes it a good complement to elaborate recipes with fish; its firm structure will go very well with fresh cheeses and light meats.
