Lots of cherries, blueberries and plums with some dried herb and cured meat aromas. Medium-bodied with plush tannins. Round and fruity with a pleasant finish. Syrah. Drink now.

A charming wine with a candied tone that adds to its appeal. Aromas of ripe wild strawberries, cranberries, violets white mushroom and stone aromas combine for a welcoming nose. This full-bodied wine offers plenty of texture and structure from oak aging, but its acidity keeps the palate refreshed. A layer of licorice, black tea leaf, orange oil and saffron stay long on the palate and finishes with stone minerality.

          Appellation
One of the most southern crus of the Rhone Valley and probably one of the least known, growing in tranquil solitude well away from the beaten track. Yet vines have been grown here since ancient times, and even in the Middle Ages these vineyards in the Co^te du Rho^ne were renowned for the quality of their wines. The appellation area encompasses the best soils in four communes in the Gard de“partement. Blending the terroir wines together creates a distinctive Lirac style, powerful, well-structured and aromatic, but always fresh and elegant. A gem to look for.

          Tasting notes
Touches of graphite and black pepper mingle into slightly muted blueberry and blackberry in this full-bodied, moderately concentrated wine. An approachable, easy-drinking varietal Syrah, it has enough tannic grip on the finish to lend structure.
A great pairing with charcuterie, duck, pork roast, herb chicken or cheeses.
