Food Pairing

This dry white wine is perfect with fish as well as certain white meats. A such aromatic side can perfectly accompany sweet and salty cuisine, dishes based on candied lemon or saffron for example.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, "La Porte des Ducs" offers a nice lightness with citrus and gooseberry aromas. On the palate, citrus fruits highlight a fine structure and a delicately marked acidity.

Viticulture

A selection of Sauvignon Blanc vines, mainly planted on chalky-clay soils with a large diversity of soil and subsoils from different French vineyards.

Winemaking

A long alcoholic fermentation occurs in stainless steel thermo-regulated tanks around 19°C. to extract the best aromas from Sauvignon Blanc grapes. At the end of this step, the wine is aged during 3 months on its fine lees.
