This village-level bottling represents an archetype of the Nuits-Saint-Georges style, blended primarily from selected parcels across both the northern sector (bordering Vosne-Romanee, yielding finer, silkier profiles) and the southern sector (yielding firmer, more robust structures).
Ageing
Approaches its sweet spot quickly. Peak window: 2026–2036.
Tasting Notes
Visually brilliant translucent ruby-red. Highly expressive and aromatic on the nose. Dominated by ripe black cherries, fresh plums, sweet spices (cinnamon and clove), and
a delicate touch of wood smoke. Fleshy, giving, and charming on the palate. The 2023 warmth translates into a velvety mouthfeel with rich, well-integrated tannins. Juicy
layers of red berries and dark plum are framed by a subtle, clean minerality. It trades some of the 1er Cru's sheer brawn for immediate elegance and pure, upfront
drinking pleasure.
