Tasting notes
From one of the highest of the Mercurey premier crus, this wine has a crisp edge to its otherwise ripe red fruits. It has a fine line of wood as well as the juicy fruitiness and acidity. The eight hectare 'Les Puillets' vineyard is located on the south-south west facing hillslide slopes in the appellation of Mercurey. This Pinot Noir has woody notes with a touch of kirsch and red cherry and redcurrant flavors on the palate.
Estate
One of Burgundy's largest wine Domain's. Its prestigious heritage, which comprises a remarkable
Chateau with a glazed tile roof and 90 hectares of vineyards, is the product of a time-old legacy
that is closely tied to the history of the Burgundy wine region. This remarkable chateau, with its
varnished tiles, is a spectacular piece of heritage closely tied to the region's history. Its
vineyards are split between the Cote d'Or and Cote Chalonnaise. The diversity of its 'climats' results
in a rich palette of wines with distinctive styles that reflect the subtleties of the Burgundy varietals.
The estate began its organic conversion in 2021 across its 100 hectares of owned vineyards and has been
certified since the summer of 2024. The 2024 vintage is the first produced under organic farming.
