Wine Advocate 90
A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot This has a similar hue to the 2006 Les Fiefs but there is obviously more intensity on the nose. Blackberries, wild strawberries and fresh tobacco leaf. Great lift from the glass. The palate is full-bodied, lots of ripe black fruits, cedar and graphite, good acidity, a little closed towards the finish, but this still represents a great second wine. Good length. Superb.

Tasting notes
"An attractive, bright, intense carmine purplish red colour. The nose is finely perfumed with notes of spices, lovely ripe fruits and a hint of well- measured oak. In the palate this wine is quite round and juicy on the attack, filling out to become ample in the mid-palate and finishing on a note of smooth ripe tannins.
Already a really elegant and attractive wine, but one that will reveal its true personality in a few years from now."
The wine
The second wine of the property was established in 1985 following the acquisition by Suntory group.
It comes from vines that average 30 years old today and planted on gravelly soils for fine Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for some clay.
He received the same care as the Grand Vin, with a search for maturity and concentration in the vineyard, a plot vinification and aging adapted to its tannic structure.
The wine is characterized by round tannins, aromas of red and black fruits on his youth and still shows good potential
