Subtle notes of white pepper, cream and chalk to the fine currants and minerals. Attractive and really well-balanced, this has juicy red fruit, chalky tannins and a long but elegant finish that's linear and refined. Already a joy to drink now. Drink or hold.

The 2022 Mauvesin Barton has a tightly wound bouquet that needed a bit of coaxing, eventually offering finely delineated blackberry, cedar and light briny scents. The palate is saline and quite classic in style, with powdery tannins. This tapers slightly toward the finish, but I appreciate its freshness and personality.

Balanced and stylish, the wine has a fine contrast between structure and black-currant fruits. It is ripe, juicy with tannins to assure its future.

A stylish red, with warm clay, sandalwood and tea notes gliding through in unison with pretty plum and cassis flavors. The fine-grained finish shows a late flash of iron. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
