A pretty nose of blueberries, strawberries, plums, dried herbs, chocolate and allspice. Medium-to full-bodied with fine, ripe tannins and fresh acidity. Layered and velvety. Second wine of du Tertre. A blend of 45% merlot, 38% cabernet sauvignon, 12% cabernet franc and 5% petit verdot. Drink from 2024.

Ageing

Aged for 12 months in 50% French Barrels and 50% wooden casks.

Tasting notes

The essence of Les Hauts du Tertre 2018 is mainly carried by the Cabernet Franc that delivers at the same time some subtly fruity and fresh spicy notes.
The palate offers a wonderful acidity that gives lift, energy and long finish.

Vinification

Optical and manual sorting. Wood, concrete and stainless steel tanks. Maceration 28 days at 25°C.
