This shows some very fresh, pretty fruit with blackberry and cherry aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, fine tannins and a fresh finish. Citrus undertones.

Exhibiting aromas of raspberries and currants mingled with loamy soil and pencil shavings, the 2019 Fourcas-Dupre is medium to full-bodied, with fine depth at the core lively acids, and fine, powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully chewy finish. This is a very solid effort from this Listrac estate.

The 2019 Fourcas Dupre has an attractive nose with buoyant red berry fruit, bing cherry, rose petal and forest floor scents, showing more vivacity than the Fourcas Hosten alongside. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fresh acidity, quite sweet towards the pliant finish that feels succulent.

This is a structured wine with fine tannins that will allow it to age. Black currant fruits and spice come together in a concentrated bond.
