James Suckling 90
A medium-bodied and supple red with notes of crushed ripe berries, nut shell and toasted spices. Firm tannins and velvety texture with a flavorful finish. Drink or hold.

Description
Château Fleur Badon has been promoted as a Grand Cru recently. The vineyards are situated on the bottom of the slope of Saint Emilion near Saint Laurent des Combes. This is one of the most consistently delicious Saint Emilion Grand Crus. A blend of 75% Merlot & 25% Cabernet that is aged in French oak barrels (20 to 40% new oak barrels) from 12 to 14 months.
Tasting notes
On the nose there is plenty of spice and exotic fruit on the nose, set against a background of brambly, blackberry fruit. There is a soft and creamy entry with a rather more drawn out structure through the mid-palate, this wine has a lot of appeal. Delightfully aromatic, elegant wine that makes a superb match for a slow-roast leg of lamb with a rosemary and anchovy crust.
