Tasting notes

On first impression, this Seuil de Mazeyres, with its bright red hue, exudes very powerful aromas: tanginess of blackcurrant bud is mingled with floral scents, such as lilac and violet. Some menthol hints are perceptible after a few instants of swirling. The first taste is quite full-bodied and round, almost sweet. Afterwards the structure of tannins is more powerful, firmer with a distinct texture. These extremely young tannins will mature, become smoother over time and assert themselves with even finer balance later on. This wine is relatively full-bodied on the finish, with already pleasantly-melted woodiness. To be poured between 2014 and 2017.

Vinification

Harvests are hand-picked. Fermentation in stainless steel vats of small capacity, equipped with temperature control.
