Reviews
James Suckling 93-94
A white with density and focus, offering sliced apple, pear and dried mango. It's full-bodied with a creamy, salty and dried-pear character at the finish. Already showing a hint of matchstick. 90% sauvignon blanc and 10% semillon.

Vinous Media 90-92
The 2023 Alto de Cantenac Brown is a fine choice for near- and medium-term drinking. The Sauvignon Blanc character dominates, but there is good weight too. Lemon confit, almond and white flowers are front and center, while grassier, greener notes are less in evidence. This offers very good balance and plenty of textural presence.

Wine Advocate 89-91
The 2023 Alto de Cantenac Brown, a blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Semillon, reveals a slightly varietal, fruity bouquet of pear, banana, white peach and herbs. Medium-bodied, tense and juicy with a round palate, it's long and delicate with a mouthwatering finish.

Technical Details
Description
For many years, the magnicient Grand Cru Classé of Château Cantenac Brown has been accompanied by BriO de Cantenac Brown, a special
parcel selection from Cantenac Brown vineyards. But in 2011, our family expands with the addition of AltO de Cantenac Brown, our white wine.
We are fortunate to own a wonderful plot of clay and calcareous soil cool enough to produce a ne white wine. 1.80 hectares are planted to
Sauvignon blanc (90%) and Semillon (10%) for a production of only 7,000 to 8,000 bottles a year. Fermented in barrel, 90% 1 year oak barrels and 10% new oak.
We wished to make a wine of nice minerality, beautiful aromas, and a wine for Gastronomical table. Elegant and delicate, AltO pays hommage to the art of music, while at the same time
complimenting the entire Cantenac Brown gamut of wines. A perfect addition !
Tasting notes
This wine is pale/deep gold, developing a nose of exotic fruits followed by green apple and lemon pie aromas. On the palate, we find all these flavors. The attack is frank and so, pairing matching the nice acidity.
Serve chilled this wine will be the ideal ally of your seafood, white meats or cheese platter meals. 90% Sauvignon Blanc , 10% Sémillon
